Regarding BSL: It is much easier to contact legislators with good solid points to prevent BSL from coming to your town than it is to get BSL overturned once it's there. We have said it before, we will say it again; the irresponsible owners that choose to have pit bulls for whatever reason need to be wiped out - don't punish the dog as they are an outstanding breed when in the right hands! You can buy a gun at Wal-Mart to wound or kill, drink & drive on alcohol - killing someone or several, and develop fatal diseases from cigarettes -even passing them on second hand to others.
The point is that anything can be dangerous if in the hands of a moron. Don't blame a dog! A famous local man years back died from complications from Cat Scratch Fever. Who knew it wasn't just a song?
Let's wipe out cats, as though I knew this man, I don't personally know anyone that has died from a pit bull attack or in fact been seriously bitten. The one bite that I am aware of was on the hand of a drunk that was trespassing in the wee hours through someones back yard, stumbling upon their pit bull. When the police picked them up for drunken disorderly later that evening and found they had a warrant for their arrest, suddenly the pit bull "bite" was an issue. You decide.

Our breed is in danger. Protect your dog as they would protect you. Please be responsible pit bull owners, if you're unclear on what a responsible owner is, there is a lot of information out there to educate on the subject, or always feel free to ask.
